Feb 10th Jerry Parker Released From Hospital - Jerry was released from Lee Memorial today. After a violent altercation with the wall in turn 4 on Feb 7th during practice sending him to the hospital Jerry suffered a concusion, collapsed T3 & T4 Vertebra, split open jaw (requiring staples), broke ribs #9,10, & 11, and had a small laceration to his liver & multiple bruising over his entire body. Feb 7th Jerry Parker driving the #6 Make-A-Wish Foundation Chevy wrecked during practice after avoiding a spinning car and being tapped from behind by another car sending him to the hospital and the #6 car back in to the hauler for the night.
Feb 1st This will be the last year the #6 Make-A-Wish Chevy will be racing. Owner Jerry Parker will put the #6 car up for sale after the 2009 season and will be purchasing a Quarter Midget for his son Hunter.
Wizard-Motorsports.com is busy getting ready for the first 2009 Fast Minicup Series race at Charlotte County Speedway in Punta Gorda, FL. on Feb. 7th.
